On the way back home

Whenever I see someone drinking Gatorade, I automatically think "Well, somebody had a hard night."  Am I alone in this?  I’ll tell you what.  If someone looked at me sitting in this airport with a big ass bottle of the thirst quencher on the table next to me and wondered if that were true, I’d have to tell them "Hell, yeah."  The party last night was what some might consider a success.  Others might call it a gong show.  Whatever the word, it was damn fun.

I’m really beginning to love Portland and I’m quite sad to leave.  I had a really great time with Amy this weekend.  Seeing her graduate was really special for me and for the first time ever, we got to spend some time alone.  I realized this weekend that she’s a great inspiration to me.  In a lot of ways, I’d like to be more like Amy.  I think I decided this weekend that I’m going to be making some big changes, but that’s enough of that talk for now.

There were so many great things that happened this weekend over and above the time I got with one of the best friends I have.  I also got a chance to see Meg again after the two years that have passed since the day I met both girls our at Duck Pond, I secured a date with my favourite Blazers fan for next year’s season, I had some hard to come by stimulating conversation about life, politics and religion with a guy I had just met and Amy and I even snuck in a last minute trip to Target where we bought matching PJs.  That’s how we roll.

I also committed to learning all ten of the bridges that connect the city by name and by sight before the next time I go back.  I’m going to crack the books while in flight.  (This one here is the Fremont Bridge.)

gatorade + hangover = vomit time

no lie. you will NEVER see me drinking gatorade after a night of hard partying.

hopefully i will get the opportunity to prove it to you. 🙂

Considering I have been drinking only Gatorade since Sunday since I can not seem to keep anything else down I believe there may be some truth in your observation. But I however did not have the fun night of partying to explain my Gatorade necessity. Stomach bugs call for the bland stuff too.

In my next life, I’m coming back as Queen Carly.

Purple Gatorade also works well for morning sickness.

    I’m speechless.
